Bouchée Confections is dedicated to bringing the highest level of chocolate and dessert expertise to the Reno Tahoe area through our beautiful and delicious meticulously crafted products.
We believe each mouthful should be completely satisfying and delicious in its own right regardless of whether it is a chocolate bonbon, coated nut, savory tea sandwich, or patisserie style dessert. To that end we start with quality ingredients like single origin couverture chocolates, Tahitian vanilla beans, and European style butter and work to pair them with other flavors and textures that will bring out the best of each ingredient.
We are extremely passionate about our craft, love creating new products, and are continuously integrating innovative techniques into our chocolates and pastries.
About the Chef
an insatiable passion
Natalie learned to ski at Sugar Bowl and has considered the Donner Summit/Truckee/Reno area to be her home ever since. Despite majoring in Chemistry and Chinese in college, she chose to pursue her passion in pastry and has never looked back.
Some highlights of her career include a year in France studying pastry at Ecole Ferrandi in Paris and interning with Master Patissier of France Philippe Rigollot in Annecy as well as 2 years working with World Chocolate Masters Finalist Oscar Ortega in Jackson, Wyoming. She has also has spent years working in luxury hotels and in the catering and events industry.
Natalie thinks that the best part of running her own business is the ability to constantly learn, grow, and create. She frequently takes masterclasses from renowned chefs around the world and loves putting these modern techniques to work in her products here at Bouchée. She also thoroughly enjoys creating savories for the High Tea and draws inspiration from everything.
In her spare time Natalie loves to hike, mountain bike, ski, travel, and play with her dogs.
